Why we choose Manila Cathedral?

Sometime in 2001 after Uno proposed, we attended a wedding in San Agustin, its a night wedding ,i was mesmerized with the whole ceremony ...the church is perfect.. the lights are enchanting everything is so beautiful (but that's during that time). But now its different, the walls are fading parang napabayaan na ang simbahan or might be di lang nalinis. I said to myself this is not the church that i want , it looks different prang naging ordinary church na lang sya na naluma na lang ng ganun ganun.

Uno saw how impressed i am and said "Han dito kita pakakasalan" naks! So sa 9yrs nming engaged we thought of marrying in San Agustin.

In 2006 we went to Intramuros, di ko lang sure kung bakit kami andun pero that's the time na na-apreciate ko ng bonggah ang Cathedral. It was dark inside,mdyo gloomy (hapon na ba yun?) there are people praying , some are loitering some are not, Pero still i find the church very Beautiful, it was like dejavu...(u know whatta i mean).. galing na ba ako ditey? (nag aala maruja pa daw ako hahahah)parang MAGIC.... ewan ko pero we have something dibah na nafefeel .... prang ang hirap idescribe pro u knew from the start na heto na talaga yun.... So from then on kasama na sa lists ko ng possibleng church venue ang Cathedral!

100 or 120 steps?

1st Sunday of September together with ate shiela, Batel (youngest sis ng pogi ko) and Mama Judith , naks full forced! We visited Intramuros, main purpose is to look for our wedding church and venue reception......Napaka humid ng weather that time pro we did enjoyed the ocular tour. Im not into historic kemeru pero the old walls , capiz windows, stoned walkways always mesmerized me... (very medieval.... very goddesses era)chos! 1st stop Manila Cathedral, we saw how beautiful the church was lalo na when all the lights are open, (since BER months na mas mabilis dumilim so mga 5:15pm pa lang u see how the chandelier lights compliments the old cieling, not so old pla kse it looks so clean prang nirepaint na) ang gandah pra kang asa ibang dimension....Hay wla na atang mas E-ENCHANTING (word for today: ENCHANTING) pa sa view ng church mapaloob at labas ng Cathedral! haylabeeeeeeeet!...

Oops i forgot to mentioned during our ocular, me kasal sa Cathedral, feeling ko sinadya ni LORD na maka witnessed kmi ng wedding na bonggah .... (winner tlagah!) So yun habang busy kmi nag uusyoso sa kinakasal, The GROOM whispered " Han gsto mo na ba dito tayo magpakasal? (wlang atubili) i said YES han, gusto ko dito, naimagine ko tuloy ang sarili ko na naglalakad sa red carpet wid all the white calla lilies sa aisle....panalopi! OK hanie ure wish is my command sabi ng Papa Un's,nxt weekend balik tyo so we can make reservations. After a week we went back to Cathedral & attended the seminar & accomplished the DP! ( di nman ora-orada dvah hahahahah!).

Pero i heard nag increase na ng fee for 2009? Not sure how much pro TRUE na nagtaas nga sila. After our Canonical last Feb'09 we decided na to pay the Balance, we booked kse Sep'08, So since andun na din lang kami edi sinettle na namin para mabawasan ang mga bayarin and yun nga the Secretary mistakenly provided us with a wrong balance, she thought kasama na kami sa increase (thank GOD hndi) - (one of the so many perks couple's will enjoy if they book their suppliers early.) sa aircon set up its expensive .30k na atah? kaya nga nung inoffer sakin ni Uno, i said NO, ok na tong hndi aircon.hindi nman na mainit ang september and besides 6pm wedding namin so BIG NO no sa aircrush! sayang ang budgey.....(naks natututo nko infairness mag manage ng datung winner)

The Hectic Bride

Most of the Major things for our wedding preps is DONE! whew, Legal papers, pre-nups, DIY projects and invitations are the one's left (i guess)! hmmn i almost forgot, i need to look for a CHEF uniform pa pla and i guess that's it! ops Not yet, plenty of things to do like ->> Suit and Shoes for my Hanie ? will purchase it as soon as he arrive. What else? aside from small details like wedding paraphernalia i guess what we need to focus more is our Guest list, we haven't finalize it yet since the Groom left , for us this is the hardest part of our wedding preps, given a choice we would invite all the people who have been part, take part, been part & will be part of our life, but we can't.... hay.... the hardest among the hardest! pro we know this people will understand us.Hope they will!


Lyt side ... our aras, DIY cord, DIY kissing bells, DIY rosary is now ready.... (ready ng gawin hihihihi). Boxes for the souvenirs is complete .... ordered extra na din for the entourage tokens! templates for stickers not yet final, gift tags made by Honey is awesome! Invites content still on hold, need to wait for Uno's final say!

With the accomplishments so far i was able to take things slow (for now lang - kya nman zupeer BLOG ang Bride)... but not for the month of JUNE.... u know why?Because this June we need to Accomplish the following:

- file for application for marriage license

- attend seminars for the completion of our ML

- Papa Un's Beerday Bash

- Pamamanhikan takes place (for the sake of formality na lang and tradition)

- Pre-Nups both for Mandy & Cathy

- Shop for the Groom's Abubots (suit,shoes,belt,tie etc)

- Finalize & Prints for our Invites

- Dessiminate our save the date magnets

- Meet my gown maker

- Papa engrave pa pla yung Wedding Bling-Blings

Month of JUNE officially FULLY BOOKED!

the famous DIVISORIA

Its Divisoria day, every saturday is the divisoria day for me and for my wedding planners. Pro this divisoria day is diff kse im not with my planners.... im with jane our house companion... 9:30am after a 30min talk with my papa un's we headed to Divisoria. Mdyo traffic along roxas boulevard kya mdyo nkakabusar...

ano bang pakay nmin thid tym sa divine (short for divisoria) well h2:

1. additional kissing bells
2. ribbons at anik
3. bells stick
4. chef uniforms
5. ice bucket
6. huge basket for the souvenirs
7. aras, cord , beads for the rosary (ipersonalized ko ang rosary nmin)naks
8. at kng ano-ano pang pwedeng gmitin for the wedding

first stop meron akong nakitang stall na open sya pro me mga bells, mura ung bells nla if u buy 100pcs 5/each lang ang bells if not 6.50/each sya so i guess mura-ami na yun, tas me na syt akong aras at cord, ang mura hahahahha smantalang ng asa mall kmi one tym naloka ako sa price kse kulang2 500 sya e dito less than 2 hammer.... so swak n swak kya super buyla na agad2, yung cord although chaka nung ribbon binuyla ko na din lalagyan ko na lang ng diff accents maybe prang bangles style , kse plain lang sya na bilog, ngustuhan ko lang sya kse nkaporma na ng pa cord at yung color eh match sa motiff.... konting retouch na lang yun at pasok na pasok na sa banggah ang cord!

Next hinanap nmin ang wellmanson...grabeh andaming tao at sobrang init, buti na lang me dla kming payong (ay ako lang pla) and yung mlakas kong korean artist na pamaypay... with matching towel for the nonstop na perspiration... hahahahah!buti na lang airconditioned sa wellmanson at nkakalokah ha well uniformed ang mga saleslady at npaka attentive nla sa customer, hndi ka mahihiyang magtanong kse mababit sila, like yung gagamitin ko sa rosary na ano bang twag dun ah bsta yung paglalagyan nya... eh syempre witchels ko nman knowsline kng anong gmit dun so mor ask ang ateh mo... mdyo me kamahalan lang ang mga tindah nla pro pasok na din atleast nalamigan kmi ni jane khit papano hahahahah!

Next nman naman nbasa ko sa w@w na morning glory daw eh selling murang items for DIYs so super hinanap nmin yung morning na yan eh anak nman ng shipaklong andaming tindhan dun na naguumpisa sa morning hahahahha nyemas edi nalito nman ako so lahat ng me morning pinasok nmin award..... ,

hanggang matagpuan nmin yung tunay na morning na ppuntahan nmin .... same with wellmanson very accommodating ng mga saleslady , at nkakatuwa kse dun na ata sila tumanda sa tindhan na yun....merong nag assist smin na nag recommend pa ng mas murang items, kse sabi ko yung mura lang po at hndi nman mdamihan ang ggwin, so hnanap nya tlgah ako... natuwa ako ng bonggah ke tita ..... at plus points din eh airconditioned ang stor nla kya i loveeeeet!, me na syt ako na prang fur pro hndi eh bsta winner sya bet ko sna for my DIY bag sa pag rampa ko sa wedding.... yung so furry na white sya eh hndi pla pwede na konti lang ang bbilhin maramihan so hndi ko sya nabili eh san ko nman kse sya ggmitin dvah after sa pouch.... anyway i saw one pouch sa landmark na almost the same sa bet kong pouch bka yun na lang ang buylahin nmin pag uwi ni papa un's......

Nkakapagod sobra tong divisoria day na to.... gsto ko pa sna mag ikot eh pro hndi na kerry, hilong hilo na ako at pagod na din si jane sa pagbubuhat ng anik2.... late lunch na mdyo tommy na din akey so hanap kmi ng mkakainan graveh lahat puno, hanggang nkarating kmi ng ongpin at sa mr. ube na lang kmi lumaps (so alam mo na kng gno kalayo ang nilakad nmin)... winner yung tomyang soup kei yun lang dhil sa sobrang hagard at wa pa akong orlok hndi ko sya naubos... andami kong natira so zupeer take out na lang syang eh.....

hanggang sa paghahanap ng taxi award.... badtrip na ang BRIDE, akala ko nga me collapse na mgaganap eh.. pro thank GOD wla ....

mock HMUA with Felicity

Had my trial make up with Felicity last sunday March 8, 2009, 1:30pm, bet nmin lahat areglado na since paalis alis ang Groom, tambling na kmi sa palasyo ni rica aka Felicity Son (code nman nya yan... prang Shaider lang) hahahahaha! so yun na nga .... Bkit nga ba me codename si Felicity??? well, si Rica eh make-up artist sa channel 2 na rumaraket sa Loreal at kiel's at hair stylist ng make up studio... shupitbahay ng Bride ang Rica at lahat na ata ng kinakasal sa amin eh sya ang nag eemyas hahahahaha..

Panalopi mag emyas at winner ang pengkay's nya.. M.A.C. at Shu Uemura ...... ang lalakas teh ! Shugal nya kong inayusan 3hrs ata, infairness ksama na ang hair & kembot dun... partida ha d pa naset ang buhok kei kse nkalimutan kya gumamit na lang sya ng curler.... mdyo nainip ang papa un's lalo na wla pa syang orlok .... super trial & error kse kmi sa fundash .. d kse akey mafundash eh nbbgatan ako ng benggah....

she tried 2 diff foundations, one with mix tone & the other was plain white tone.... we both prefer the 2nd one... (even UNO agreed).Ang papa un's nman fundash pa lang ang nlalagay eh sabi ok na daw yun fresh daw akong tgnan nge eh base pa lang yun kya ntwa ang rica.....

Me pinag gyahan kming emyas... gsto ko kse smokey ang duo-eye kei pra maiba nman, lagi na lang kseng pinky at mga lyt shades ang nassyt ko... tska dko tlgah bet ang pink na shade sa emyas..prang pang tegi lang hahahahaha. so h2 yung pic hndi lang epek yung kuha kse wlang mgandang ilaw na pagkunan sa baler ng bakla at andaming pink na kurtina.

THE FACE

I have with me this cut out pic of lucy torres (i think that was taken sa recent bench fashion show, hehehe ginupit ko lang kse sa starstudio mag.)... where she wore this so so winner eyeshadow, i asked Felicity if she can do it and yes she did... amazing tlgah..... even Uno was impressed because even if its dark shadows it appears plain & so simple in the end. What i want kse is yung smokey na efek....it looks so dramatic kse llo na sa gbi, very nice for my 6pm wedding! And also it will look so nice llo na pag nagmix na ang mood ligthings ng rejekcrew.

THE LIPS

We tried 2 types of lipstick . im not a fan of gloss lipstick but this pale colored gloss lipstick she applied on my lips is really nice......it complements my eyeshadow very well, we also tried the red shade because i want it to appear GLAM dramatic nman sa reception tska since the wedding is so close to night time so i need to wear a powerful one so i wont look pale.... but the gloss red lipstick is not that gud... wrong kse for me yung dark red lipstik with gloss .... hndi ko sya kerry..... chareeeeng! (cant resist speaking in gay lingo). I still would want to use my classic lip liners that are matte...... so i might use it in the reception na lang. Everything looks so good except for my opinion ....My brows, maybe because i know how to apply lines on my own kya for me its a bit kulang, i even told Felicity that its not me hehhehhehe at ntwa ang ateng......i want the more cleaner look so i might do it myself (me pagkagigi din kse ako pag kilay ng eksena).

THE HAIR

I am so impressed with how felicity do the works, i just love the way she made my hair really look like the way i wanted it to be... and mind u ha, she wasnt able to set my hair pa because she forgot to ask me what style i like, so she end up using a curling iron to make it appear na prang si-net tlgah....really love the jessica alba classic hairstyle... even the gucci look .... it will be my hairstyle nman sa reception, so it wont bore the photographers ....pra sa mga pics iba2 ng aura (check!.... tama mga amiga hahhahaah).

My poging poging partner is patiently waiting & watching ... he even gives comments & i do ask him if he wants that & this. (shades)... at kahit na puyat ang groom he is very attentive, he even commented on how felicity does the make-up na prang easy na easy na pagmimix ng shades.... galing daw prang painter hehhehehe.

3hrs of ON THE SPOT MOCK HMUA done..... hndi na nmin nmalayan na 3hrs na pla kmi dun, Very nice kse ng ambiance even the mood lalo na centralized aircon ang palasyo ng beklah hihihihihi....we wer listening pa to jazz music na ksabay na pinanonood ang ASAP '09....we took some pics...

me something borrowed pang inoffer si felicity yung accent sa hair... hndi ko ata na upload ng pikture hahahaha, epek sya simplicity pro wagi, edi wit na akong babayla-more ng hair accents, kya lang bet ko ng prang tiarra na nipis nipisan lang eh yung prang manipis na headband lang pra pa fresh lang hahahahahah.

then right after Uno & I went to Greenbelt to dine & watch a movie.. pre celebration ng monthsarry nmin hihihii... in 9 yrs we do celebrate monthsaries together specially if his on vacation..... (sounds baduy to others buts thats one of the best secret we have why we end up being together.... mushy but its so true).
